Model: Archer A10
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.01 20230830

This router has been running well with no issues until my wife brought home her iPad.

The firewall keeps blocking her brand new device due to DoS attack, and I really don't want to turn off the DoS protection. I am able to unblock her iPad, but it's randoim and annoying!

Another issue is that I've tried assigning IP addresses to all our devices in our home so as not to let anyone else join the network, but it works pretty poorly and devices keep creating new MAC addresses even though we turned that feature off and try to renew the ( Android & Apple) ip addresses.

Can anyone advise best robust approach(es)

  @Taengmo

Hi,

Regarding the DoS Protection. Does your firmware only have an on/off switch or does it have sub-options that allow you to fine tune this feature? (like low/medium/high and separate filters)

In case it does, then you will have to find out what works best by trial and error. (i.e. try the setting "low" or even "off" for a particular filter)

Thanks for your reply  @woozle!

Yes, mine has options to fine tune, and I have tried them on low, medium, and high; There is even fine tuning to the fine tuning through the admin tools.
It still blolcks the iPad (randomly, not repeatable, so it cant't really be diagnosed yet). All other devices, Windows, Linux, and Android are fine.
