Firmware Version: 2.2.2 Build 20231017 Rel.68869

Hello TP-LINK,

I would like to kindly ask to make a change in the configuration parameters of OpenVPN client to fix a potential bug, that has been already commented in post https://community.tp-link.com/en/business/forum/topic/612892.

The same way IPSec suports an FQDN remote server, OpenVPN should allow the same input, or take it from parsing the configuration profile.

Therefore, the feature request will be:

  • Accept issuing FQDN as remote server.
  • Alternatively, leave remote server blank and parse from configuration profile.

Thanks and regards.

Dynamic IP Addresses are extremely common, this is why you have a DDNS Service, so making it so VPNs can use FQDN makes alot of sense
