Archer AX72 router password
Hi,
I don't recall setting a new password for the Archer AX72 router. When I tried to login to the router using Tether with the default password, "admin", the login failed. Can you advise whether the only way to reset the password is to factory reset the router? I'm not a techie, if I have to factory reset, do I have to do any setup thereafter?
Thanks and regards.

My bad I read it wrong yesterday.
As I read it now you never set a password in the first place & were using tether rather than the webpage?
Reset the router & set it up using a 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 webpage on a browser not tether, once that's done you can enter tether using the new password that you have to set to enter the webpage.

Hi,
To answer your last question. Yes, after you performed a factory reset you will have to setup your Archer AX72 again, just like when it was new out of the box.
And no, there is no other way to reset the router's password, unless you had setup the "Password Recovery" feature on your Archer AX72.

@Joleen And pleaseeeeee change default user name and password, it will take you 20 seconds and it is huge security issue if you don't!!!

The fastest way round this having experienced it myself is to uninstall Tether then re-install it, it then offers you the password option again.
As said above it's a good idea to change the password on the router for a fresh one once you're at this stage.
