I have set up a new RE300 extender via the WPS button and both 2.4G and 5G lights are lit. On my TV (Firestick) I can see my Plusnet router and extender id with and without a single EXT extension. I was expecting to see separate 2.4G and 5G extensions - is this not the case? My signal strenght is no better than without the extender with a distance of 3M beteween router-extender and extebder-TV.

Hi,

 

You will have to log into the RE300 to find out what is going on, either via the management webpage using a web browser or via TP-Link's "Tether" app.

 

Check that both bands (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) are activated for both, the "Host Network" and the "Extended Network".
