Hi all 

 

I'm having issues with 2xLS1005G and 1xLS1008G switches which is effecting my upload speed and idle, download and upload latency (results taken from https://www.speedtest.net/) yet, if I unplug these 3 switches my upload speed and idle, download and upload latency aren't to much different if I've ran the speed test directly from the router.

 

My ISP speeds are 150mbps for both upload and download.

 

My set up was, in the front room, a Netgear XR500 was connected to a LS1005G which connected direct to a Powerline and a TP-Link Archer C80 AC1900 in AP mode.

 

Bedroom 2 ran a Powerline to a LS1008G switch which was connected to a Personal Laptop, Work Laptop and PS5, and to an 2nd TP-Link Archer C80 AC1900 in AP mode.

 

Bedroom 3 ran a Powerline to a LS1005G switch which was connected to a PS4, and to an 3rd TP-Link Archer C80 AC1900 in AP mode.

 

And the speeds I was getting was:

 

 

But every since I've took them out, my speeds are looking like this:

 

Anyone know why I'm getting such a difference in performance when I've got the switches in?

When you have the switches plugged in there's a 0.7% packet loss, ping delay and jitter are higher.

To troubleshoot this issue you can do the following:

Plug in the switches one by one starting from Bedroom 3, then Bedroom 2 and finally the front room while doing the speed tests on every step.

Thus you could pinpoint the switch that is causing the issue.

  @terziyski Might have sorted the issue, as I mentioned in my OP that I disconnected the switches from the AP's, well I reconnected one of the switches, and then the problem started again, but after turning off the main router, unplugging the Ethernet cables from the powerlines, also turning off the AP and taking out the power lead of the switch that was in bedroom 3 I put back in, I switched them on one by one waiting till they settled down and then switching the next one on in order, front room AP, then bedroom 2 AP, the bedroom 3 AP, and then the bedroom 3 switch, the upload speed and idle, download and upload latency pretty much matched what I would have got if plugged into the router, I then switched off the bedroom 2 AP, attached the 8 port switch, switched the bedroom 2 AP back on after a few minutes, let it settle, plugged in the lead to the 8 port switch and still got near enough the same results as if I had plugged it into the router
