Model: Archer AX11000
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: Wersja firmware: 1.3.3 Build 20230719 rel.78410(4555)

I have an AX11000 V1 router and a 600/60 mbps fiber optic connection. The device from the fiber optic (Dasan H665) is connected to the router with a Cat 7 cable.

For over two years, everything worked correctly, and I had full speed of the connection over WiFi (590-600mbps).

However, for the past few days, there has been a problem - I can only achieve 300-400mbps via WiFi. Suddenly, the speed dropped - I haven't made any changes recently.

It's not a problem with the provider, because everything is fine when using a cable (connecting a computer to the router with a cable) I get full connection speed.

The router was running on firmware 1.3.4 Build 20230906 rel.74809, but after downgrading and installing 1.3.3 Build 20230719 rel.78410(4555) the problem still exists. I looked on forums and found a few potential solutions:

  • turning off QoS (or manually entering connection parameters there)
  • disabling antivirus

But none of these options brought a solution for me. I reset the router to factory settings, but the problem still exists. The problem occurs on all devices I have at home. I've attached the result (from a computer that is about 3-4 meters from the router, in the same room) from NetSpot - I don't know what the signal strength was before. I am also uploading screenshots of the WiFi router settings.

I'm out of ideas on what to do, and I must admit that the drop in WiFi speed is somewhat noticeable.

The problem has been solved. Archer is healthy, though. The issue stemmed from the ONT device from the provider. Despite replacing it with a new Dasan H665 model, the Wi-Fi speed was still reduced by about 40-50% compared to what it had been before. It was only by switching to a completely different device (in this case, the Halny HL-4GXV-F) that the issue was resolved. I read somewhere online that this Dasan sometimes has problems with buffers, which result in a reduction of Wi-Fi speed, but everything looks fine over a cable.

If I set mode to "Only AX" - NetSpot show this connection mode as "ac/ax". Why?
