Can you please post a screenshot of where is says "cannot find MUI file"?

  @woozle it's wrote on driver properties.

Now I'm not at my pc, but driver properties are under

Device manager -> Network adapters -> 802.11n NC -> right click on device -> Properties -> General. Here i have the error reported above

Is the complete message something like "The resource loader failed to find MUI file"?

Does your Windows 7 still let you install drivers for other devices successfully?

I think you installation of Windows 7 might have become borked somehow.

Does your Windows 7 still let you install drivers for other devices successfully? Idk, it's an old desktop, I'm not installing new drivers except this. I could try, but i wouldn't know what to install

Since this is Windows 7 it's really difficult.

Back in the days when Windows 7 was still fully supported one would probably have tried a repair install, but such a repair install would revert all Windows updates to the state of the Windows version on the install media (and most likely also require reactivation of Windows). But now that there is no more Windows Update available for Windows 7 this would be cumbersome.
