Losing connection frequently
Losing connection frequently
Hi,
So while working more from home lately I started to realize that I was losing connection constantly for a couple of seconds at a time. After noticing this it also explained the instability while gaming.
The internet was constantly cutting out after 5-50 minutes so I started documenting the outages to contact my isp. Claimed the problem wasn't on their end so I redid the connectors on my wires, tried another of my decos and still had the same problem.
Tried using an old router and encountered no outages.
Software up to date
Wired connections and wireless lose connections.

Had to take a break from the computer after work finished and sat down first today but haven't dropped connection so far so haven't checked logs.

You can check logs anyway. This is how I found the scope of Internet connectivity problem with my ISP. Just login to Main Deco, set logs to DEBUG, download current logs to local drive and search for these log lines.
If you find any, that means issues still occur while you are not using WiFi.
I suggest to do that few times in next few days even if nothing happens when you use Internet access. What I have found in my case is that outages had happened at different times day and night, but each was of about the same short duration. Most of these gone unnoticed by me. I didn't realize frequency of outages until I started to check logs.
With that info and a bit of persistence on my side ISP Tech Support was able to find and correct the issue on their side.
