Archer AX12 New (AX1500 Gigabit Wi-Fi 6 Router - Issues with 5Ghz
Hello
I have an issue with AX1500 router, which is only happening on 5GHz mode. This is a new router that I have bought few days back and I am having consistent issues with 5 GHz mode where it keeps disconnecting.
I have tried with 6-7 different devices and the issue persists. Please find the specifics for the issue:
- Wifi is configured in both the mode separately i.e., 2.5 and 5 ghz
- Devices get disconnected from 5 Ghz automatically.
- The wifi name shows on searching wifi (5 GHz), but device isn't able to connect to Wifi itself. It doesn't show any error but it just doesn't connect. This is happening for all the devices.
- At the same time it works properly with 2.5 GHz one.
- When the issue happens, it requires Reboot of the Router either manually or from the Application (by connecting with 2.4Ghz network).
- Auto Reboot is also scheduled but it just doesn't work because it happens every 24 hours and this issue happens on random basis.
Note:
1. Firmware is updated.
2. ISP supports 5G and it works with other Routers without any disconnection.
3. I have tried replacement of Router with same model and the issue persists.
It's a new model and the issues are just affecting the work in WFH mode and I need it to be resolved asap. I have tried every debug thing but it just doesn't work.

Hi, you may refer to this and try to change channel and channel width on 5Ghz wifi band?
Thanks for your suggestion as well !

Hi, can your clients connected to 5Ghz wifi band of the Guest Network stably?
And can you share us the device label? You may mask the MAC part out of safety.

@Marvin_S What do you mean clients here? There is one Router and all the devices are connected to it. When the issue happens, all the clients get disconnected from particular SSID configured with 5 Ghz.

@Marvin_S Also, I haven't tried this thing with Guest network. But how does it make difference?

Hi, I confirmed with the support engineer that the latest firmware on TP-Link global website is also suitable for your model. So you may try to upgrade the firmware manually.
