Model: Archer AX20
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.8 Build 20230830 rel.19767(4555)

Please add option to set up Parental Controls also by IP address and not just by MAC address.

This is needed when there are client that are connected via wireless bridge / repeater.

All clients will have the same MAC address but different IP addresses.

So it's not possible at all to use Parental Control features when the only option is to set it with MAC addresses only.

Hi,thanks for posting question here.

As I know, the devices connected to the extender can not have the same MAC address, as each device has its own MAC address.

This is not correct. When the second router is connected to the main router as a Wireless Repeater/Extender as in this example:

https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/network/wifi/relay_configuration

The Main router will only see one MAC address. It will be the MAC of the Wireless Adapter of the client router.

Here is an example or client router at 192.168.1.3 and 2 clients connected to LAN1 and LAN2 all with the same MAC address.

The LAN1 and LAN2 are given IPs addresses by the DHCP of the main router. So the main router can route to each IP properly, but since parental control only configuration is by MAC it is not possible to set up for each client separately.

If parental control also gave the option for IP selection this would not be a problem.
