Model: Archer AX53
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.4 Build 20240509 rel.64683(4555)

Hi,

Recently changed my main router to AX53 (AX3000).

My home network starts with a cable modem (which also incorporates wifi) connected to this AX53, acting as the main router, and two subsequent router are wired to it in p[arallel (CAT5E I think).

Since the installation of the AX53 we have a very strange phenomenon with Whatsapp (only): the outgoing messages are being sent with significant delay, i.e.: I press send and the timer icon appears for quite a long period (can get to one minute roughly) and only then the message is actualy sent. Probably understand the frustration to try and manage direct and immediate Whatsapp connection with this delay.

To rule out other option and narrow the root-cause I checked the following:

  1. connected to the wifi of one of the subsequent routers - the phenomenon persists, i.e.: this is not an AX53 wifi issue but rather a LAN or network connection (configurations?).
  2. connected directly to the cable modem wifi - the problem disappeared, i.e.: it is not something with the connection to the ISP.
  3. Tried also to turn off many definitions that seamed relevant to this - no success.

Any help or tip will be much appreciated.

Thanks,

  @GIC7019

Hi, thanks for posting question here.

Did you set Easymesh Ethernet backhaul for Archer AX53 and another two routers? Please share the exact network topology.

And what is the model of your another two routers?

Please disable firewall on router and VPN on phone for a try. Please share the model and OS of your phone.

Hi,

Thanks for the prompt reply.

My other routers are not of TP Link.

Easymesh is off and I;ll try to shutdown the Firewall as well.

I don't use a VPS on my phone.

Thanks

Hi, when your client is connected to Archer AX53 wirelessly or via Ethernet cable, is there any issue if you use Whatsapp?
