@islandboy123 no actions from the company side, now expecting United Stated to forbid TP-Link routers because of hackers attacks trought them. 65 percent of routers there... so Happy new year TP-Link🎉 

  @Vendex Nothing so far. Neither one update. Still missing basic features. really sad about tp-link that doesn't even to bother to reply.

Guys, there is hope 🙏.  Today, I've updated firmware of compromised router on a customer with a strange upload of over 2 Tb of outgoing traffic from Archer A5 v.4.20. The last firmware was from 2019, after check in for new firmware, I've been excited that newer firmware was from this year, 2025,  17 January, so I personally think there is hope, especially when mid-range dualband router have a new firm.

  @Vendex I fell for the vast list of functions on this things box .... thats a mistake ...  just as its a mistake to use any of the three manual buttons .. you loose connection if you thats it 

I bribed a VPN service provider that i would sign up for a 3year sub if they helped me get this thing manage the vpn service och channel all my home-network thrugh it .... Two full 8 hour workdays they spent on getting that to work ... NO WAY IT CANT DO IT ..... Kinda felt bad for them, but they said forgit, lite focus that on tp-link

I think i know whaty they do .... just as microsoft they sell info on securityholes to biggest  bidders 

the only thing that works is the quick guide and everything on full auto default ........ sure fast as hell, i can throw how devices onto it as i like without a glitch (no no WPS button, ALARM ALARM....failure) 

So ive heard about thirdparty software and firmware .... anyone know where to look ? 

  @CantUnst hi, if router is with broadcom processor you can't install third parity software. We want more recent updates for our routers officially here with new extras such as Easymesh, better security, and so on. Good luck, and be careful with third parity software :)

Their answer in this thread says it all “ if you don't receive any updates and hear nothing from us everything is top notch and firmware do not need improvement"

That's not how software / virus malware works to upscale each other. 

What happens to your if you mad enough to use one of the three buttons on yours? 

  @CantUnst, but this model is "planned" whatever that means ... for easymesh upgrade. I don't know what really is happening with this guys
