Model: Archer BE800
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Hi, I recently purchased an Archer BE800 Router to replace my Vodafone/ One NZ Huawei HG659 router.

I followed the TP-Link quick setup instructions but could not connect to the internet.

I sought One NZ support, which proved to be utterly shambolic. They were unable to answer my set-up questions, and reported they do not support the BE800, and referred me to TP-Link.

I kept a copy of my HG659 settings and loaded those (static IP) addresses via tplinkwifi.net GUI - but again, no luck.

Can anyone point me to a setup guide or offer any advice, please?

  @Nautilus_1999

Hi, thanks for posting question here.

I searched and found your Huawei HG659 router seems a DSL modem router, but Archer BE800 is a wireless router.

If you used Huawei HG659 router as wireless router mode to work with your ISP modem or something like nbn box, Archer BE800 should be ok to replace.

But if you used Huawei HG659 router as DSL modem router, I am afraid Archer BE800 can not work with your ISP line directly.

So what is your exact network topology? What internet connection type and configuration parameters did your ISP provide?

It is also suggested to contact technical support Hotline or Livechat for direct help.
