Model: Archer C2300
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.1.3 Build 20230906 rel.41773
The settings on my app when working. All the numbers turn to 0 when it disconnects.

I have run the C2300 flawessly for a year or so now however for the last week I have had the internet connection drop out after a longish period of time, a few hours from restart. Due to the flawless running I initially laid the blame on the ISP (TalkTalk, who aren't the best lets be honest). The ONT is registering all 4 connection lights on it and essentially saying all is fine on its end. Looking at the Tether app the internet connection is stated as Disconnected with the setting as dynamic IP and all info set to 0.0.0.0

However on the last time the internet failed all I did was save the setting of dynamic IP in the tether app and the router pinged back into life, connected with all the right looking info for IP and DNS etc. No resetting of the ONT. Restarting the router doesn't work like this, it almost remembers that its dynamic IP setting is still 0.0.0.0 and doesn't think to go look for a new IP address.

Is there any setting that could have changed (Nothing has been touched for months) or is there an issue with the router not checking for a new IP if there is a change or is it a problem with the ONT failing to send info and the router getting stuck looking for a new one...

Hi, thanks for posting question here.

Dynamic IP should be the internet connection type provided by your ISP, also decided by your network topology.

When the internet stopped working, if the IP address shows all 0, the internet on Archer C2300 may be red/orange. It is suggested to follow the troubleshooting steps below:

    1. Unplug your router from the modem, connect your PC directly into the modem/ONT to verify the Internet status of your ISP.

    2. Reboot the ISP Modem and the Router, you must firstly power on the Router, once the router's fully powered on, power on the modem.

    3. Login to the web UI via http://tplinkwifi.net and set it up following the Quick Setup.

    4. If your PC has Internet when connected to the modem, but the Router still doesn't, please go to Advanced > Network > Internet > Mac Clone to clone the mac address of your PC. This FAQ contains detailed instructions of Mac Clone.

BTW, it is suggested to hide your IP address in the screenshot you shared for security.
