Model: Archer AX6000
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.2 Build 20230906 rel.52143(4555)

Hello there,

I just bought this "NEXT-GEN" Wi-Fi router to replace my 10-year-old trusty TENDA router (which has bandwidth throttling for specific devices), and to my most unpleasant surprise, I found out that this router (in 2024, almost 10 years after Marty McFly visited the future and rode a floating skateboard) DOES NOT HAVE the option to control bandwidth for specific devices. Not even on the guest network or QoS?  I feel like you guys are mocking all the customers who bought this model. I like the aesthetics of this model and I don't want to send it back for a refund (which for me would mean never buying TP-Link again). I read in the forums that this feature has been requested for a long time. Stop taking us for fools and give us a clear and straight answer on this matter (I need to decide ASAP whether to wait for the firmware update or return it and buy another router from another brand).

Regards.

Hi,

Sorry but according to the information we have received, there is no plan to add this function to your model at present.

  @Sunshine

It is a shame to read this information. I regret not listening to my friends when they told me to buy an Asus or Netgear router. I should have listened to them.

I have no choice but to accept my mistake in choosing this low-end brand (I thought it would be better than Tenda, but you guys just proved me wrong) and return the ax6000. Now I know that tp-link is a no-go for me ever again.

Thanks anyway for your answer.

Regards.
