Model: Archer AX50
Hardware Version: V6
Firmware Version:

Hello everyone,

I’m experiencing some issues with my Intel EVO laptop when using my TP-Link device and was hoping someone might have some insights or advice.

Details:

  • Laptop Specs: Intel EVO platform, Core i7, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD.
  • TP-Link Product: TP-Link Archer AX50

The Issues:

  1. Connectivity Drops: My laptop frequently loses connection to the router, especially during video calls and streaming.
  2. Slow Internet Speeds: The internet speed on my laptop is noticeably slower compared to other devices connected to the same network.
  3. Intermittent Wi-Fi Disconnections: Wi-Fi disconnects randomly, and it takes a while to reconnect.

Steps I’ve Tried:

  • Updated the laptop’s Wi-Fi drivers and TP-Link firmware to the latest versions.
  • Reset the router and reconfigured the network settings.
  • Changed Wi-Fi channels to reduce interference but still facing the same problems.

Has anyone else faced similar issues with TP-Link routers and Intel EVO laptops? Any suggestions or fixes would be highly appreciated!

Thanks!

 Hi @judywatson ,

Can you try these steps, I think it will help you

- Power Setting - Device Manager - Wifi Adapter - in Power Management

- Killer WiFi - Disable it or uninstall

- Manually Connect to 5GHz network

- Router Setting - enable WiFi 6 if available

- Check BIOS setting if is there any new update

Hope these solutions will work for you and resolve your issue.......
