Model: Deco BE65
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.0.5

Recently purchase the TP-Link Deco BE65/BE11000 (Costco) and currently using a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra which supports wifi7. I having issues when my device dropping wifi connection briefly when it's switching to another satellite. I have Fast Roaming and Beamforming "Enabled" and it gets pretty annoying when it just random drops when walking around the house. It's very noticeable when i'm in between two satellites and It's constantly switching between each other dropping wifi. I never had any issues with the Deco X60 and the Deco AXE5300. Wanted to upgrade due to the 2.5Gb ports but the annoyance of the wifi dropping when it switching to another node is getting irritating. Not sure anyone else experiencing this issue and debating to return the unit.

@MugenDE5 I am having the same exact issue - the connection keeps dropping for few secs while walking around the house with my Tab S10 ultra (Wifi 7). Any solutions so far? Else, will need to return to Costco.

@dbjunction I would return it. If you read the reviews, many people were experiencing this issue. I'm fairly savvy in networking and thought some of those reviews were user error but the WIFI7 router isn't ready for prime time yet. I've been a fan of TP-Link routers using M5, X60, and AXE5300. Referred many family and friends to TPLINK products but I can honestly say the BE65/BE11000 disappointed me the most. I really needed that 2.5Gb port and opt to upgraded from the AXE5300 but from the slight internet drops wasn't worth it.

Tried to contact support to see if this was a known issues and all support told me to do was turn off Fast Roaming/Beaming which defeats the purposes of having a mesh network. You can test it by doing a constant ping test to google and walk around the house, you will see a few packets drops when it switching to another node. Support was useless and ended up dropping our conversation mid troubleshooting. They haven't even bother replying to any threads on their forums so don't expect to get any help.

Might not be noticeable to the average user but if using something that needs to be constantly online, it will be noticeable.

It was really frustrating in my case where I had a node set up in my Master room and another in the Living room, being in between those to nodes wiill switch between each other and constantly dropping  my connection.

Maybe in the future i'll give them another shot but until then vote with your wallet and return it. I'll give it a few more months-year until the Firmware is more mature or more user complaints.

@MugenDE5 Thanks a lot. TP-LINK responded to my thread saying they will get back to me - I will give them a shot before returning. It is a hassle setting these things up - I had the old Orbi RBR50 that died, so it's either this or another Orbi that I would be forced to use.

I must say that your experience with support does not give me any confidence that they will address it :(
