USB Won't/Can't Connect

G'Day people who read.
I have a Huawei E173 Usb modem.
I literally just installed the latest firmware for the tp-link TL-MR3240 to try and solve this issue. But when i plug this usb modem in the TL-MR3240 the usb light lights up for 1 second and then goes off and will not connect, but as soon as i pull the usb out of the 3g router and into my computer BOOM 3Mbps.
When i first got the modem 2 weeks ago the first week it worked fine and i was super excited now im in struggle street I need help with this one.
