My wifi connection from my laptop to AX90 via 5Ghz-1 connection became spikey recently. the ping test i took via cmd to the router spikes after a few seconds and the issue is persistent. Anyone has any idea how to resolve this? ps: 5Ghz-2 doesn't have this issue.

Hi, thanks for posting question here.

It is suggested to follow this guide especially Case 3 to troubleshoot and adjust channel and channel width.

And did the problem happen during you play games on the laptop? You may also try to change DNS server on the router or your laptop.
