Model: Deco X50-4G
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version:

We have very poor mobile signals here, but apparently do have EE - and we have put in a mobile signal booster which seems to be working.  The guy who installed it said that it would not be good enough to get good broadband, but that he had detected a signal that we might be able to use.  I have therefore bought a Decon X50-4G and a MiMo aerial which I plan to install soon.

What sort of SIM should I put into the Deco - I have a spare EE pay as you go SIM (I think it is PAYG) - should that do the job?  Or is there a better way?

Also, I already have a router on my network, fed from the landline.  Presumably I will need to set the X50 to have some other IP address (the router is 192.168.1.1) and change any devices that I want to feed off the X50 to whatever I set the X50 to - does that make sense?

Any advice would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

Steve

Hi,

Thanks for posting on TP-Link Community.

Deco X50-5G supports Nano-SIM. And please make sure it supports the specification.

After you set up the Deco network, you can change the LAN IP address.
