Model: Deco X60
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version:

I would like to propose adding an option to hide the IoT network on Deco X60 devices. A recent firmware update allows users to create a dedicated network for their IoT devices, but currently there is no option to hide it. this network from list view This is because IoT devices are often vulnerable to security breaches. Making this network publicly visible may increase the risk of cyberattacks.

The ability to hide your Wi-Fi network is a simple but effective way to reduce the chances of outside attacks. This is especially true for IoT devices that generally have poor security. I hope the manufacturer will consider including this feature in future software updates to increase user security.

thank you!

@Sunshine I once read a similar article where you were concerned about IoT devices being unable to connect if the network is hidden. I had previously hidden the IoT network on the TP-Link Archer AX80, and the IoT devices were still able to connect and function normally. Therefore, I believe Deco devices should also have this feature and compatible security standards.
