Model: TL-WA850RE
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Hello,

I work remotely and I am encountering an issue where my laptop will only connect to Cisco AnyConnect VPN when it is connected to Wi-Fi via the range extender. If I change the connection to the main router, VPN refuses to connect and the Wi-Fi connection shows as "No internet, secured".

The extender is much further away from the router, it is downstairs on the otherside of the house. The router is in the on the other side of a wall about 1.5 meteres away from the laptop.

Has anyone encountered this before and is aware of a solution?

Thanks in advance

If your WA850RE is HW v7 (that's on its bottom sticker) update it to its latest FW version from here and test if there's an improvement.

If this was helpful click on the arrow pointing upward to make it blue. If this solves your issue, click the star to make it blue and mark the post as a "Recommended Solution".
