Model: EAP772
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.13

Hello,

i'm using the EAP772(EU) V1 with firmware version 1.0.13. My Philips Airfryer is only compatible with the 2,4 GHz band. When my Smartphone is connected with the 2,4 GHz band, the Philips Home-ID App can connect to the Philips Airfryer, but when my smarthphone is connected to the 5 GHz band, the Home-ID-App cannot connect to the airfryer.

Both, the Airfryer and my Smartphone are in the same SSID/Network/Subnet with the same Password. Is this state normal or is this an configuration issue?

Best regards

Hi  @NeoMorpheus

It's possible that the Philips app's communication protocol is not configured to handle the dual - band setup of your router properly. The app might be looking for the airfryer on a specific band (2.4 GHz) and fails to recognize it when the smartphone is connected to the 5 GHz band.

To test this, you may try to use the phone to connect another 2.4G client and see if this is only happening on the Philips Airfryer.

If this is the case, you may consider setting up separate SSIDs for the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands.

This way, you can ensure that your smartphone is connected to the 2.4 GHz SSID when you want to use the Philips Home - ID App to connect to the airfryer.
