I have a mixed Deco mesh 3 x X55 and 1 x E4R.

One X55 is the main Deco in the Study with other X55 in the Lounge and the E4R in the Integral Garage.

There are ethernet backhauls from Study to Lounge and Study to Garage.

The Deco app on my phone shows that the garage Deco is connected by Ethernet but the Lounge shows a WiFi connection. However devices connected to the switch in the lounge all indicate an ethernet connection proving that the physical cabling is good.

Any suggestions as to why the backhaul is not being used.

There is one special case, but I'll need you to run test to check it. If you power off Lounge Deco unit that uses WiFi backhaul, will another Satellite Deco switch from Ethernet to WiFi backhaul?

@Alexandre. Thanks for the reply. We have a very sensitive house guest at present who is working from home so I will try the experiment you requested when they have left and report back.

@Alexandre. Hi, I have now carried out your test but there was no change to the other Ethernet connected Deco. Looking this morning, the X55 Deco in question now has an Ethernet backhual connection. My only thoughts, are that our house guest has left so perhaps it is a loading issue.
