Hi,

If your Synology NAS is connected to a switch which is itself connected to a Deco and not visible in the TP-Link software or on your network, that's because it is now installed on another network. The consequences are as follows :

- You can't access its Web interface via a link like https://192.168.1.xx:5000 (although you can use http://\\THENAS:5000 if the NAS name is THENAS - Windows).

- DS File is no longer working.

- The NAS is not visible in the DECO software ("clients" list).

The fix is rather easy (although it tooks me hours to understand this) :

In the Network settings of the NAS, just change the default gateway address. It should be something like 192.168.68.1 (on recent DECOs) instead of 192.168.1.1. Then, if you want a static address, use the Network Interface/LAN/Edit command to specify an address that is valid on the DECO network (e.g. 192.168.68.xx). Don't forget to reserve the address in the DECO software.

After this change, DS File will work again. You shouldn't have to change anything in the External Access panel.

This problem can also appear with other devices connected to the switch.

Hope this helps.
