AXE75 max number of smart devices?

Model: Archer AXE75
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.1

I have searched for the max number of smart devices that can be connected, and keep finding statements like "it can handle 70" but nothing that states a maximum number.  I have about 150 connected to mine, and it's worked fine for a while.  But recently I enabled IoT protection through Homeshield, and immediately had issues, so I disabled it.  The issues have persisted as though it's not disabled.  My smart devices are now randomly dropping and reconnecting.  I've disconnected a few to try reconnecting, but nothing will connect to either of my 2.4GHz networks (regular and IoT) anymore.  I can connect to 5 and 6 no problem, but my smart devices are all 2.4.  I cannot even connect my smart phone to the 2.4GHz network.  I just performed a factory reset, and I still cannot connect anything to the 2.4 network.  I used WiFi analyzer and it appears as though the 2.4 is cutting off and on repeatedly while the 5 and 6 are steady.  I do not have any other 2.4 networks that are interfering.  Any thoughts on why enabling and then disabling IoT protection would've caused this?  As of right now, it appears my router is broken and I need another one.

Frankly speaking, you want a lot from one router, especially at a frequency of 2.4 GHZ, where even a switched-on microwave can create a problem.

at a minimum it is worth buying a second similar router, connecting both routers with a cable and hanging the second half of the 2.4 devices on the second router

you also need to check the range of dhcp addresses, because with 150 clients it should be at least 100-250, and it is better to immediately expand the range to 2-254
