Support got back to me. Either the update added this new setting or toggled it off.

Global View -> Settings -> UI Interaction -> Devices Update Notifications

Enabling and saving brought back the firmware panel cloud firmware pool.

@Vincent-TP

Can whoever it building these archives of the tarballs PLEASE try to do something standard and consistent with how they're packaged?  This beta is a zip file with a tar.gz inside but the tar.gz has a file extension that makes ZERO sense: `Omada_SDN_Controller_v5.15.6.7_pre-release_linux_x64_tar.gz.gz`.  In reality, it should just be `.tar.gz` but there is no `.` before `tar` and it has a double `gz` even though it is only gzipped once.

It just makes it clear that there is no automation in this release process and it's like someone is building and packging it manually which is somewhat concerning from a proper release process and testing perspective.

Installed this morning - Windows 11 x64 Omada software controller v5.15.6.7. Cloud access seems to work now, it's not disabled by default as it was in the previous version. The configuration setting for cloud access however should be able to be modified by both cloud and local user Main Administrators, rather than just by the local main admin. Scheduled WLAN optimization still not available in this release. CPU/memory utilization graph colors no longer appear to be mixed up as they were in the previous release. No problems with the upgrade otherwise.

Hi  @Shoresy

Thank you for your feedback.

>>>Do you mean the cloud access switch? It is reasonable to not allow to click this button when logged in via cloud, otherwise, cloud users will be disconnected if disable this button.

The main cause of the error is usually the direct execution of the .deb file without properly installing it using the Debian package management tools. The .deb file needs to be installed with the dpkg or apt utility, not run directly as a script.

Dirty upgrade from 5.15.6.4. Everything seems to be working fine, but the cloud firmware pool is now empty - no firmwares for any of my devices in any category. Before the upgrade it was showing the release firmwares for everything and betas for some.

Hi @Vincent-TP Yes...since Cloud Access is a setting within the admin UI, it makes sense for the main admin (whether cloud or local) to be able to change that setting, as the admin account can with any other settings for the site. The Cloud main admin has the ability to login locally directly from the local server running Omada, so why not allow the Cloud main administrator to make changes when they're logged in locally from the Omada controller?

  @MrAdministrator

I've noticed the same...I thought however that rather than this being a bug, that TPL may have pulled those firmwares making them unavailable for whatever reason.
