I'm having a tough issue with my AX3000 router. Sporadically I'm getting packet loss, usually losing half the packets on any given ping test when this problem crops up. It doesn't happen if I plug directly into my modem, nor does it happen when I have the router itself do the ping. It is consistent across devices, and between the 2.4G and 5G bands. Router firmware is up to date. The signal is strong and I'm using the laptops in the same places I always have in the house.

 

What could be causing this and/or what could I possibly check next to try to figure this out?

May I confirm some information to understand your situation better?

1. The model you shared seems not match its hardware and firmware version. Please have a look at the bottom label.

2. How did you find packet loss? Is because the wireless connection unstable? Can you share the screenshots of your related test results?

3. When did you purchase the router? When did the issue start happening?

4. You may restart the router and the client devices for a try.
