Whatsapp and torrent issue
Hi,
I have these 2 annoying issues since I got my S4 many years ago.
My S4 is connected to a TP Link Archer C9.
Problem 1
When people call me using Whatsapp, I can hear them but they can't hear us. If I use mobile data, there is no issue using Whatsapp call. I can call with no issue with LINE, Telegram etc.
Problem 2
Super slow torrent speed.
Whenever I try to download a file using torrent, it is especially slow. It has issue connecting to peers and even if connected, it will be slow.
I tried to download files using torrent in overseas using hotel WiFi and it performed so much better than when i am at home.
I have tried to explore the setting of my Deco both desktop and app, but there is not much setting to experiment with.

May I confirm some information to understand your situation better?
1. How many Deco S4 do you have? Is your Archer C9 connected to main S4 or satellite S4?
2.Did you set same or different wifi names for Deco S4 and Archer C9? Whether the names are same or not, they are two networks.
3.For the two questions you shared, does it only happen on your phone? What is the model and OS of it? Which wifi network your phone is connected to? S4 or C9?
4.Please upgrade firmware manually of your Archer C9 to latest according to the official webiste.

Ans - I have 2. C9 is connected to the main S4.
2.Did you set same or different wifi names for Deco S4 and Archer C9? Whether the names are same or not, they are two networks.
Ans - I have disabled the wireless in C9.So there is only 1 Wifi Network.
3.For the two questions you shared, does it only happen on your phone? What is the model and OS of it? Which wifi network your phone is connected to? S4 or C9?
Ans - All devices are connected to S4. Notebook, Phone, Tablet all exhibit the same problem. Phone (Xiaomi, Redmi, Samsung) and Tablet (Redmi) is on Android of various versions. All notebooks is Win11.
4.Please upgrade firmware manually of your Archer C9 to latest according to the official webiste.
Ans - Both C9 and S4 is already in the latest firmware.

Is your Archer C9 only used for connecting wired client devices? If you remove C9, do same problems remain?

Hi, Archer C9 is a wireless router, Deco also works like wireless router with mesh function.
If you do not use C9 actually for your client devices to get internet access , it is suggested to use main Deco S4 to replace C9 directly for a try. But you need to reconfigure main Deco referring to this guide.
