Acrcher C7 USB-transfer rate at only 1 MB/s

I use this router and generally it satisfys my needs with the original firmware. But I hafe a problem, using the USB Port:
I linked an external Harddrive via USB to the Router. All functions work as I want, but the Speed is very slow.
When i transfer Data to the Drive, i get a max transfer-rate of about 1 to 1,2 MB/sec.
I testet other drives/usb sticks, with NTFS and FAT32. Always the same.
My Computer has Windows 7 and is connected via LAN Cable.
Today I testet my Notebook with Windows 8 annd WLAN 300 - same issue-- 1.1MB/sec
anyone who can help?
