There is another thread discussing the issue about this router freezing or hanging abruptly many times.
But I created this thread, specifically for Indian users.
I have been using this router for one month and it came with the latest available firmware pre-installed.
The router hangs around 4-6 times in a day - I generally keep it on the full day.
Router details:
WR1043ND v1 00000000
3.13.13 Build 130428 Rel.58290n
I have sent an email to TP-Link, I hope they fix the issue soon. This router is not exactly cheap in India.

I think you have busy transmission of network when it hangs.But wr1043nd v1 has stopping-produce,that meaning they will not repair it.I advise you to buy wr1043nd v2, which you deserve ！

I have also the same problem... started when I decided to connect USB hard drive...
Also I experience once a week wireless disconnection for 1-2 minutes

What application you have run in the client PC?Maybe the high load make the router hang.

I must say that I don't think it's high load... on the hard drive I've some media files for home use...
I think the router is not working well with USD harddrive and that's really bad for this one of its feature.

I think you can change an encryption or a wireless mode such as 11n only to see if it hangs.

Confirmed with TP-Link support. It is a hardware issue. Please get device replaced under warranty.
