Model: ER605 (TL-R605)
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 2.0.1 Build 20220223

The question is "Can I have my router have more than one WAN IP address"?

This is similar question to the thread posted in https://community.tp-link.com/en/business/forum/topic/572412

There the suggestion was to put a OPNSense or PFSense box in front of the router.

My question is, is that still the only option? Can I throw a simple switch in the front, or does it have to be another complicated box?

Also, I see now there is a "WAN IP alias" option. Can that be used instead?

Thanks

Hi @snathan

Thanks for posting in our business forum.

Not sure if that's what you want based on what's given now. You can upgrade to the latest firmware and with the controller, you have this function.
