Hello,

Can anyone help?

That was a good start the TP-Link Archer BE550 was not recognized as a Model on here :-(

The TP-Link Archer BE550 I bought is advertised as having USB 3.

However the transfer rate from PC to the USB port/Drive is VERY VERY slow.

The PC is connected to the router via a cat 8 either-net cable.

The router is great. But the USB transfer is VERY poor.

 

How do I resolve this?

I'm hoping that someone from TP-Link will explain and help.

Hi @Martin380,

You mentioned that the PC is connected to a USB port but you also mentioned a CAT8 Ethernet cable. What is your network topology like? May I know if your network topology diagram is as follows: Fiber box—router—PC

What is the USB transfer speed? What is the file size being transferred? What is the USB device you are connecting?

I suggest you turn off security scans (such as antivirus software, firewall) on your router or PC, and try changing the USB cable at the same time. If you have different USB devices, you can also do a comparison test.
