Hello to all,

I've got a small premise which I would want to manage its electrical consumption remotely.

For that, I decided to use a TL-MR6400 connected though a French LTE provider (Free) that enables IPV6.

Connected to one of its Ethernet ports, there is an energy meter that furnishes a micro web server
accessible by a fixed IPV4 address (192.168.1.249).

In the router,

I added a HTTP rule in "Advanced/Nat forwarding/Virtual servers" to 192.168.1.249

Then, I opened 80 tcp port in the "Advanced/Nat forwarding/Port triggering"

At this step, I can access locally to the energy meter's web page by typing its LAN address in whatever web browser, but it doesn't work if it try to access from the outside (eg from my home) by typing MR6400's IPV6 public address (eg http://[2a0d:e385:15f:f3ea:ea48:b80f:fe81:bd4f]/) .

I'm not a specialist but an amateur: is there a way or another to access my energy meter from the www ?

Thanks a lot in advance for your help.

Hi, welcome to our community.

If your energy meter gets a legitimate IPv6 address, that should be possible.

Thank you and best regards.

Hello  @Marvin_S

thanks a lot for your reply.

Unfortunately, the energy counter has only IPV4 addresses.

So, I'm looking at other solutions but it seems this is not trivial.

Indeed, all solutions based on "VPN" need an app to be installed on each clients. In my cases, you guess that I can't install any kind of theses app on the "client"...

crying

Do you see another solutions ?

Thanks a lot in advance
