Hello
I've seen that the TL-WPA2220KIT is available as an AV200 or AV500 version

Given that the Network sockets are 10/100Mbps what is the benefit of the AV500 version over the AV200 version?
Surely data transfer is limited to the slowest part of the equipment - which will be the Router to the first home plug

Router----100Mbps----Home Plug -------200/500Mbps-----Home Plug )))) 300Mbps Device

So, what is the advantage of AV500 version over the AV200 version?

I believe the AV500 you have seen is TL-WPA4220.

You have misunderstood the PLC network speed with ethernet speed.
In PLC network, 500Mbps is just like 230Mbps in ethernet. In addition, PLC network will be affected by all kinds of electric noise.
So apparently the PLC network speed will not keep 500Mbps(230Mbps) all the time.

In a word, AV500 will make a full use of 100Mbps network socket. By contrast, AV200 will not.
This is just like you have bought a 300Mbps wireless router while the network socket of the wireless router is just 100Mbps.
