Hi

Have any of you managed to successfully hook up a 3TB USB hard disk to your Archer C7? I've read on the forums several people having difficulty with drives over 2TB in the past, but not sure if this problem is still happening to newer firmwares?

I hooked one up and it was usable though it reported the drive size incorrectly. Seemed like a minor issue to me.

The traditional hard disks use MBR partition table, which supports the maximum size of 2Tb. Newest large-capacity hard disks usually use GPT partition table, which do not have the 2Tb limit.

TP-Link's USB module only supports the transitional type.

So 3Tb is not supported. It‘s too new for the TP-LINK.
