Setting up two SSIDs on one router
Region : UnitedKingdom
Model : TL-WPA281
Hardware Version : V1
Firmware Version :
ISP : AOL
Hi,
Is it possible to set up two SSIDs on one wireless (AOL) router?
The set up is:
Upstairs:
AOL Wireless router - services wirelessly a Samsung laptop and Apple iPad which in turn print to a wireless Epson printer. DHCP is enabled in the wireless router.
A TP-Link (TL-WPA281) extender is connected via ethernet cable to the AOL router.
Downstairs
Another TP-Link (TL-WPA281) extender is connected in another room downstairs.
Is it possible to set up the extender downstairs with the same SSID as the wireless router upstairs? If so, how will ip addresses be allocated to the devices connecting to the wireless extender downstairs?
As devices downstairs cannot receive the signal from the wireless router upstairs, I wonder if the above scenario is feasible?
Many thanks,
Mark
