MR3220, usage monitor resets on power outage

We use a satelite connection with a limit on data per month. We would like to keep track of our usage throughout the month.
Unfortunately we have daily poweroutages, and these cause the router to reset the usage monitor.
Is there any way of avoiding this reset, or getting the data off the router continiously? What would you recommend?
