Try contacting TP-Link via email, they have been pretty quick & helpful with responses when I've contacted them.

Hi! I have a strange problem: I've done the firmware update. Before I had made a backup. After updating I restored the backup. Now I am not able to log me in anymore. But I am sure about my login data. And I've also tried admin / admin. Nothing works. Resetted the router and tried again. Failed again. I am very angry!

Anyone else with that problem?

Hi,

USA, v1.7 here. Took screenshots of all the pages, then updated firmware with little issue.
Password reverted back to admin/admin, and IP was back 192.168.0.1
So my static address 192.168.1.x would not connect to router. I switched to auto and was able to change all values.

The external FTP bug still seems to be present. I followed the Virtual Server steps on the sticky and got it working (was using that method in previous firmware too).

I have the same problem. I did a backup of my settings before upgrading the firmware. After the upgrade completed, I restored my settings. Now when I try to login it will not accept my password and I don't want to reset the router, I don't feel like entering all my settings manually.

So the far the new firmware is doing good. No issues so far. Great job! I thought TP-LINK wouldn't support this router any more. Glad I checked for new firmware :o

I have 100% same problem on two routers WDR4300. It looks like all the settings run fine, but not the login and password...

Did you read notes on their website before upgrade? You can restore it to facotry defaults and reconfigure it to solve it.
Note:Since the security mechanism of the new firmware have improved, the configuration file of the old firmware can not be used in the new firmware.

No, i didn't

But anyway, that's a strange option, to issue such an update. is there anyway to get inside the GUI and change the password to the normal view. Its too much to do if i need to setup manually 3 routers?
