Bridge with AP using Android tethering
Region : NewZealand
Model : TL-MR3020
Hardware Version : V1.2.0
Firmware Version : LATEST
ISP :
Hi,
I'm trying to configure my laptop to connect to the MR3020, (and have the MR3020 give my laptop and all the virtual machines running on it their reserved addresses), I then want to set up my android phone as a wifi hotspot, and bridge the connection from the MR3020 to the phone, so I can get internet access through the phone at the same time.
So I did the following:
Set up the Android hotspot
Configured the Router to be in AP mode.
Configured the android hotspot settings in the router, made sure the password was the same for both the router and the phone hotspot.
Observed the packets being sent from the phone to the router.
Yet i'm unable to connect to the web through the router.
Should this functionality work?
Thanks.
