Device isolation freezes Archer AX72 Pro

I just unboxed my new Archer AX72 Pro, and I'm already regretting my purchase. At first glance, everything seems fine. I would have preferred a traditional rule-based firewall to control outgoing traffic by ports, protocols, and IPs, but I can live without it.
However, when trying to isolate devices—specifically to separate IoT devices from the rest of my network—it’s completely unusable. I select a device, click on "isolate"... and the router freezes. Worse yet, it doesn’t recover, even after power cycling. The only solution is a hard reset, forcing me to reconfigure everything from scratch—again and again.
This makes the isolation feature not only useless but also a potential risk. Has anyone found a way to fix this?

Hi @Manuel-Doming,
May I know if your network topology diagram is as follows:
Cable modem—router)))(((client devices
(Note: — stands for wired connection,)))(((stands for wireless connection)
What is the firmware version of your router now? Please update it to the latest version.
Do you mean the AP isolation button will cause the freeze issue? If not, please reproduce the issue to record it as a video and send it to email support.forum@tp-link.com, attaching Forum ID 777532 and details.
Please also send the backup file to email support.forum@tp-link.com, How to create and restore from a backup file on your TP-Link Router

My topology is very simple:
ONT <->Router ))) Wireless clients
<-> Wired clients
As you have mentioned, isolating one device caused the router to freeze. However, I've updated it to the latest firmware and now it is working properly. Sorry, but because of that I cannot reproduce again the same issue.
Everything is OK right now.
Thanks for your response.

Thanks for your reply.
It is good news that new firmware can resolve your issue. Please feel free to reply here if you have further questions.
