Model: Archer C6
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 1.13.6 Build 240430 Rel.54880n(4555)

I dont know all too much about routers and wifi but for some reason whenever i connect my vr to my pc after 5-15 mins my entire internet just crashes and i have to wait around a minute for it to go back up.
i have 5ghz ethernet connected to my pc and my vr is connected to 5ghz wireless and the router is really good and works with everything else except my vr and i dont know if its a modem issue or router but before i got this router everything worked fine so idk.

Hi @Linnes,

If certain client devices are experiencing frequent dropouts or losing internet connectivity when connected to a TP-Link router, there are several potential reasons and troubleshooting steps you can take:
    1. Check Wi-Fi signal strength: Ensure that the affected client devices are within range of the TP-Link router and not obstructed by obstacles. Consider repositioning the router or using Wi-Fi range extenders to improve coverage.
    2. Adjust wireless channel: Change the wireless channel on the router to minimize interference from neighboring networks.
    3. Check wired connections: If the affected devices are wired, try using different Ethernet cables and ports to rule out any issues with the connections.
    4. Update client device drivers: Make sure the network adapter drivers on the affected client devices are up to date.
    5. Disable router features: Temporarily disable advanced router features like Quality of Service (QoS) that may be causing compatibility issues with specific client devices.
    6. Update router firmware: Check for and install any available firmware updates for the TP-Link router to address compatibility issues and improve stability.

Hi @Linnes,

Please make sure you are tagging a TP-Link Admin (my account) if you want a timely response. Unless we are tagged we do not see that new responses have been added. We do not subscribe to every thread, so rely on Tagging to ensure responses.

For your issue, did you try the suggestions that I have sent? Has the issue been resolved?

Have you attempted any troubleshooting steps, and if so, what are the results?

If possible, could you compare the router’s performance with other routers? Additionally, when the network drops, did you test the connection directly via a computer to verify if the ISP’s service was operational?
