Cannot network between devices on main+extender network.

I have the 4220kit set up, so that the wired PLC is connected to the router, and the extender is elsewhere in the house. It all works fine when the wireless extender is first turned on, however after a day or two, I find that although devices connected to the extender can use the internet, they cannot do file transfers with devices on the main network. If I reboot the wireless extender, then file transfers work again for a day or two, before stopping working & requiring another reboot. Any suggestions?
