Hi everyone,

I have a wire network at home and I like to turn my router (TL-WR740N) into an access point. What i like is such that i can access the wire network via the wifi from the router.

This is what i have done:
- disable DHCP
- set my router to have the same subnet as the wire network
- connect the cable to router (the LAN port, not the WAN port)
- disable wifi security
- on my laptop, set up the IP address and subnet that i use to access the wire network

The problem is that when my laptop connect to the router via wifi, i cannot access the wire network.

When i connect my laptop to the router via cable, i can access the wire network.

Can someone advise me what i should do?

Thanks!

With Wi-Fi connection, is there any IP address obtained if you cannot access internet?
What's the operating system of your laptop?
