Does TL-WPS510U works under Ubuntu 14.04 and if yes is it compatible with Samsung ML-2160 printer?
I read here: http://forum.tp-link.com/showthread.php?3504-Print-server-TL-WPS510u-with-samsung-ML-2160 that probably it is compatible.
Is there any other confirmation about that?

No idea. Can you confirm with local resellers who may know or have tested Samsung ML-2160 printer?
Besides, I think there is a way to configure it under Ubuntu 14.04 but you must know how to install the driver of the utility and how to add standard TCP/IP port.
There is installation guide for MAC OS. You may refer to it and configure WPS510 manually. http://www.tp-link.com/en/article/?faqid=252
