I learn about li-ion battery from other place that the chemicals within the li-ion battery will gradually become less active over prolonged idle periods. In the worst case the battery will die within 1 year because of inactivity.

But in fact my old Anker power bank always drains within 2 weeks if left unused and requires re-charging. So my suggestion is do NOT keep it unused for long time.
