Archer c7 v2 - dlna videos are being seen as music
Region : Canada
Model : Archer C7
Hardware Version : Not Clear
Firmware Version : 3.13.34 Build 140606 Rel.54530n
ISP :
I have tried this with 3 dlna clients, all of them are seeing videos as music. The videos are in mp4 format, some 720 p most 480 p. One of the clients is a roku, I put some of the files on a thumbdrive as a test and plugged it into the roku and it can play it without issue, so it's not that, it's the archer telling the dlna clients that the content is audio when it's video.
Someone else had (has?) this problem:
http://forum.tp-link.com/showthread.php?78291-Archer-C7-V2-Media-Server-Issues-Need-Help.&highlight=dlna+archer+c7
He also has a Canadian version. I noticed on the tp-link canadian site, there is a different firmware (which I am currently using) to the US one:
http://www.tplink.ca/en/support/download/?model=Archer+C7&version=V2#tbl_j
However, the previous one listed on the Canadian site seems to be identical to the US firmware. Can I use that firmware? I didn't think there was any difference between canadian and us models but maybe there is. And can someone confirm dlna is working with that version? Or is this a known issue?
