Hello,
Whenever I run a download it fails with this unknown network error.
I have searched for and tried lots of suggestions but the problem persists and I am now wondering if my router is set up correctly although I have had the router for a few years.
I am running windows 7 on a desktop with ESET security and this problem is there with Chrome, Firefox and IE.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
Regards

Using the same PC, connect directly to your modem and test if you can download properly.
Disable ESET and test.
When browsing webpages by the router, there is no problem at all?
Try to upgrade the firmware if it is not the latest version.

Thanks for the reply.
Yes to the first three but I cannot upgrade the firmware. There are two options on the download page and I tried each one but they both say " Error code: 4503
The uploaded file was not accepted by the device."

Are you connecting to the router by cable or wirelessly to download?
Does it happen different clients also?

I have a wireless network with two desktops and a laptop and all my downloading is with a windows 7 desktop.
When you say different clients do you mean browsers as I have tried several.
I also download from a selection of sites and all the sites and browsers produce the problem.

Clients are whoever connects to router
e.g.
You connect your Lap, one Client connected to your router
Connect Lap plus a Smartphone, two Clients connected, and so on
Do not forget answer on post #2 disable ESET
And check Security/Basic Security /SPI Firewall is Disable
Too Parental & Acces Control are disable
