Model: Archer AX1500
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.10 Build 20240130 Rel. 77367

Hi,

it is since a while that we have issues with the parental control in the app.

I saw another message on this topic but our router was not in the list of router been fixed.

Kids can play or acces to internet even though should be not allowed. On the other end if the parental control is on, devices that should be open don't work.

In the first case we are forced to used the Block option in the list of connected devises to stop tge device. in the second case we need to take away the parental control so that things can work.

Can you please support?

Thanks!

Hi @Robin_se,

Thank you for reporting your issue to our community.

If Parental Control is not working on the Router, please review the following troubleshooting steps based on different scenarios.
1. Parental Control delayed for one hour?
It is usually caused by the Daylight Saving time. Please open the Tether APP, and then go to Tools > System > System time to check the Daylight Saving Time and time zone settings.
2. Blocked device not working at all? Blocked device still having Internet access
   1) Most mobile devices have randomized mac addresses enabled by default. Please check the current mac address of the client device and disable randomized mac address.
   2) You could also check if the client device is using VPN to avoid the parental control, If so, disable VPN for testing.
3. Parental Control blocking websites by mistake?
The HomeShield Parental Control keeps a record of daily blocked history, if any websites are blocked by mistake, please enter the parental control profile -> Block History -> Find the Site and "ADD TO APPROVED WEBSITES".
4. Blocked websites not working? Client devices can still access sites that are blocked?
    1) Enter the parental control profile > Content Filter, make sure the correct category is selected.
    2) Add the website manually into the "Blocked Websites" section.

Please contact us again with the results of the above troubleshooting steps. You may also provide us with more details so that we can help you more efficiently
