I have a pair of these, TL-PA4020PKIT, and a TP-Link TL-PA451 AV500 adapter that have been working without issue. I tried to connect to the internet using the computer connected to TL-PA4020PKIT as well as the device connected to the TP-Link TL-PA451 AV500 but neither can connect to the network. My main computer connected to the router, Bilion 7800DXL can connect without issue. The lights are illuminated on both the TL-PA4020PKIT adapters. I have rebooted the router and replaced the cables but still cannot connect. THe lights on the router are orange for the port connected to the homeplug. Any ideas?

You got three powerline adapters in total?
Which one is connected to your main router, PA4020P or PA451?
If you cannot access internet, what's the IP address obtained on your PC connecting to powerline adapters?

I didn't figure out which one is working as the main powerline adapter that connected to the router.

The PA4020P is connected to the router. How do I find out the ip address obtained on the PC connecting to powerline adapters? As I said earlier these have been working without issue until yesterday. Is there a quick way to check if the adapters are working or faulty?

It is easy to find out the IP address on your PC. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/find-computers-ip-address#1TC=windows-7
Powerline lights on adapters are still on, right? Did you install the powerline utility? The utility can detect other adapters in the network?

Thanks for the reply.

The IP address is: 192.168.1.100

I have installed the utility but on the Network tab no devices are shown so I am unsure if the adapters are being detected. Should these show up in the utility?

I reset the adapters and re paired them and they seem to be working again. I would like to know why I needed to do this, How they became un paired and required resetting. Thanks

Yeah! You can find your IP address on Windows easily with this guide as well.
